Default Cig Lighter Uses
What else can you use the Cigy Lighter socket for besides lighting a cig? Or more to the point can I run, without blowing a CB, a coleman 12V airmattress pump?

I think it can be used for anything a car cig lighter can be used for.

I use mine to charge my cell phone, charge/run my GPS, air pump....same things I use my cig lighter in my car for.....

Use it with the bike idling and it would imagine it would be fine for the pump, or course I do not know for sure.

Don't see why not. I mainly use it to power my GPS when connected

If you haven't changed the stock wiring or added anything on the ACC circuit, then its good for up to 15 amps.

You won't have any issues running a CB or pump. I run my GPS all the time.

Ok, now I'm really confused. I have an '09 and the manual says you can't do it. It says "damage to the receptacle may occur". Is that just a disclaimer they have to print?

Hard left puts my gps plug into the tank. Prolly the reason HD said not to use it. I have run a pump, gps, phone charger without problems
