Default Front fairing removal

I did a search but can't seem to find the info I am needing. Sometime over the past 2 weeks the right side of the front fairing has become loose on my 05 Ultra. I was uncomfortable trying to fix it on the road, so waited until I got home, what do I need to do to reattach it? Thanks in advance for the info..

Not sure if your talking about the outer fairing or not. If you are in addition to the 3 screws that hold the windshield in place, there are 4 torx screws (2 on each side) that hold the outer fairing on. They are located on the on the side where the gauges are. 1 is on the outside edge under the speakers, and 1 is further down near the bottom of the fairing (behind and slightly under the headlight).

Refer to you service manual if you have it. if not you can search the archives for "Fairing removal".

Sorry I can't be of assistance on this.

I knew someone was using that FMRC avatar here.

Let's gather up the mid MO guys and go for a ride...

Guess I must still be a little road drunk(2644)miles since Memorial Day. But, anyway, finally found the instructions. Went to the garage and started looking at the fairing and figuring out the bolts the directions was talking about, and the one behind the mirror was gone. There in lay the problem of the loose fairing. Guess all the rough interstates, Arlington National Cemetery(cobblestone)worked it loose. Thanks for all the help, guess I had better start really checking for loose stuff, before I loose a motor or something LOL...
