Default Fairing Brackets

I was reading some info on broken fairing brackets..I hear some rattles which I have not found the source on yet..Happens when going over rough area in pavement or entering a parking lot. Is there a method to tell if brackets are the issue without pulling the fairing apart. Like is the outer fairing loose when ya pull on it or something..To me the sound seems not to normal so on the look to find it..2005 Ultra.

Default RE: Fairing Brackets

You have to take the front of the fairing off to check. 3 screws that hold the windshield on, one on each side below the mirrors, and one each side between the forks. Total of 7 screws. Takes about 5 minutes to take the front fairing off. Put towels over your passing lamps and front fender. If the brackets are broken they will be easy to see.

Good luck,
Doug
