I drop my bike off tomorrow. Bye bye 88...hello 103. Doing a little poking and stroking. Should have it back Thursday then its at least a 500 mile weekend and then she goes back on the dyno for tuning. I'll be sure post the dyno sheet with hopefully some good numbers. I told them I want torque and have been promised a stump puller, we'll see.
What 103 kit are you putting in? Stage II? Stage III? Custom?
If yours is anything like mine is, you will love it!
Rode 400 miles today up in the mountains, up and down the hills all day long, 2-Up and the bike just kept on motoring...46.7mpg for the 1st tank of fuel and I'm pretty much on-track for that or better for the 2nd tank.
One time, when we had to stop for an idiot that pulled out in front of us but didn't get on the gas, I started moving again in 2nd gear...the bike just pulled and pulled!
Can't wait to get my updated stock seat to make these 400 mile days even better!

Its a custom kit my dealer is putting together for me. I am not sure who they had do the headwork and machining but they are putting another woods cam in, a little higher lift than the one in there now. I am excited about it. I just want to get past that first 500 miles so we can get it tuned and I can really play.
sounds like a great thing you're gonna be able to enjoy. i'm gonna do something similar to my 96" when winter hits. don't want things torn down when prime riding time is here. good luck with your build.
Got her back. Not even 50 miles on it yet and babying it for the first 500. Hopefully I can squeeze some riding in over the next few days, I wish I could get 500 in but I can't sneak out of the shop that long but it will have them all by the first of next week and she'll be on the dyno next Tuesday She sounds sweet.
Break the motor in like you would a race engine! I did with mine and am just amazed at the performance (and fuel economy)!
Last Sunday on a ride up in the mountains with the cruise @ 70'ish, I got 49.98 mpg on the first tank and I haven't filled up on the 2nd fillup (did 325 miles on Sunday, filled @ 152 miles the first time, still have 5/8 tank left on 2nd).
