Default Help with Corbin Seat Selection...

Getting ready to take the plunge on a Corbin seat for my Street Glide. Have been going back and forth between the Corbin and Lepera Sorrento. The Sorrento is a comfortable/ sleek looking seat but has no option for a back rest like the Corbin seats. As I've gotten older, comfort has become more important to me. Debating between the Corbin Dual Tour and the Classic Solo with a passenger pillion. Wife rides with me sometimes, but I do a fair amount of local riding without her. According to Corbin rep: the Dual Tour is the most comfortable seat they make. However, I'm thinking the D/T may be overkill for my needs. IMO, the Solo is a sleeker looking seat even with a pillion. How comfortable is the Classic Solo compared to the D/T? What about the passenger pillion? Is the Hollywood Pillion just for looks or will it provide good comfort for rides under 100 miles? Is the full size Touring Pillion the only way to go for passenger comfort?

Anyone having experience with the above mentioned seats, please share your thoughts and input. I would appreciate any feedback.

Default RE: Help with Corbin Seat Selection...

I put the corbin dual tour on my bike this year and absolutely love it. I always ended up with back pain on the stock seat and I can honestly tell you that my Corbin seat ELIMINATED my back pain while riding, no bull. Im a hooked and will park my A$$ on nothing but a corbin seat from this point forward. And if you want the best price check e-bay, I bought mine brand new wraped in plastic in a corbin box for Less than 1/2 price, and I see the guy is still selling them. My dealer says what I paid is less than the dealerships cost on one. Not sure how the guy is selling them so cheap but I really didnt care either.

this is what I have. It is really comfortable and I dont even have it broken in yet. I use it for riding solo, which I do more than anything else. The stock seat will be fine for when the wife wnts to ride. She dont know, no better...

I have both the Dual Tour and the Solo; both with the back rest. The DT sits me closer to the bars than the Solo.
Being a big guy 6'3" 240lbs I find that for every day riding (10,000 mi. since september) the solo is more comfortable.
Both seats fit the bike very well and the quality is awesome. I have ridden Corbin's seats for the last 10 years and wouldn't
put anythng else under my a$$.
All that said, you can't go wrong with either.

You get more options with the solo.
