Default RE: Question on the Power Commander

I believe the Power Commander is adaptible to manual control with three buttons that are supposed to adjust the low, mid, and high RPM ranges. You would be much better off, however, downloading a map from their website and using that since it has literally hundreds of points that covers the full range of throttle/power settings. If you have or can borrow a laptop, it must be quite easy to do. I will check out the instructions and try it myself sometime. I guess a dyno is the best way although an experienced mechaninc told me that the overheating/tire wear outweigh the minor benefits you get from a dyno tune compared to an already tested map. As for installation of the stage 1 stuff, slip-ons are easy to install and the aircleaner is even easier.

Default RE: Question on the Power Commander

The first thing you need to make the power commander work for ya is a set of performance slip-on mufflers. I have the Vance and Hines Oval-Slip-ons. I am running the SE stage I breather and the power commander. I have a laptop so programming and uploading a custom map for my configuration was a snap.

The power commander is fully adaptable for any bike mod in the drive train.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me and I will be glad to answer them for ya.
