When I bought my used road king, it came with ESP till 2014. Recently my check engine light came on, and I've noticed that I get a yellow cruise control symbol, (which now doesn't work) and I also noticed that my brake light does not brighten when applied. I assume it is a pinched wire, and took a quick look tonight. When I first bought bike I was getting a constant yellow cruise light, and told Harley rep during 1000 service, and he adjusted right hand control. Haven't had any problems till yesterday.
Just wondering if Harley covers everything including labor? I will take a better look tomorrow, but if this is covered, I would want them to do the work.
If you modify your bike in anyway they wont warranty.
Yes that is the problem with motorcycle warranty. Any modification of the bike just about voids any warranty. So only buy a warranty if you are going to have a stock bike. Really who does that?
Extended warranties are money makers for the companies offering them or they would not exist. My advise, do not buy an extended warranty on anything (scooter, car, home, TV, computer, toaster, lawn mower. etc., etc.). Then when and IF something breaks, have it fixed and pay for it with part of the money you saved by NOT buying extended warranties.

this is a myth. First, it's not a warranty, it is an extended service plan. second, it depends on the modifications and what the problem is. For it to not be covered it would have to be proved that the modification was directly related to the problem.

This is so true. Don't waste your money if you did any type of upgrades unless the dealer did (ALL) the work.
These post are not true. I've got almost 30K on my 2010 RK. I bought it out of state to get the price I wanted. It hasn't seen a Dealer since new for any service. You see in my sig pic what I installed. I've had it in for a Voltage Regulator and Inner Primary bearing. The Dealer said nothing about the aftermarket stuff. He did comment on how well the bike looked. The inner primary bearing went with only 1 week left on my factory warranty. I called Jim Palmer at Kutter HD and bought 3 more years including wheel and tire for 1190.00. If you divide that it's around 33.00 a month for peace of mind. To me it's worth it. JMO
I usually don't buy extended warranties. I bought one for my 09 Ultra shortly before the OEM 2 yr warranty expired. I got it because of all the problems I'd had with it combined with the high mileage I hope to put on it. I've come out money ahead and still have 3 yrs to go. Hopefully, I won't have to use it again as I'd rather be riding than have the bike in the shop. I think I'm hoping against hope.
Well I'm buying the 2013 limited 110 anniversary edition and I will also buy the extended warranty because the only thing I am doing to it is some nice slipons and some lighting and a few cosmetic stuff, This will be the last bike i purchase and feel no need with the 103 and cooler to cam it like my street glide, and I am in no competition with no one as far as go fast or how loud it can be, so it will remain stock and I will just ride and enjoy it... But with the extended warranty I have piece of mind out on road and not having to pay out of pocket...
