I know some of you have installed the wild 1 wo575 bars on your SG's or other FLH_ bikes. My question is, have any of you not extended your cables with the 10" bars? If so how tight are the cables after the install and did you have any problems by not extending them?
I just ordered a set of wild 1 wo575 bars for my SG and wild 1 inc had only recomended that I extend my cables by 4".
I have a 2009 Ultra Classic and just changed my bar from stock to Wild 1 Chubby's 575 , they are great and didn't need any changes to throttle or Clutch cable , the clutch cable will need to be re-routed in the fairing and adjusted after that but it feels great and all the wires are hiding inside .
I've installed 2 sets on '05 Ultras, 1 set on a '06 Street Glide, and 1 set on a '08 Street Glide...............all of them maintained stock wires, stock cables, and stock brake lines.
All you have to do is relocate the plugs inside the fairing so they are closer to the plugs from the bars.
I put Wild One 575's on my 07 EG Classic a couple of months ago. Tried to stay with the stock clutch cable but had to get a 4" over. Throttle cables are OK. Brake lines had to be straightened a bit and are a real stretch fit, but still work fine. I will probably change em out next winter just because. Good luck.
seems like a bar change on the tourings are much more involved than say, a dyna or softail. just that with my sg i got so much stuff other than the bars to change. so i'm gonna stick with stock untill i find something that isn't as involved. and yeah, the stock bars suck big time. they tend to make me lean foreward to reach the grips. odd for someone who's 6'4" tall. if only the stockers were about two or three inches further back, i'd be happy so i could sit upright rather than leaning foreward.

I'm with Silvertip on this one. '07 Ultra changed bars to WO575. Wanted to keep everything as close to stock as possible including clutch cable routing and electrical connector postion. Extended the wires, bought +4" Black Pearl clutch cable and +2" brake cable from Magnum Shielding. Really like the look of the Black Pearl cables/lines. All electrical connectors are in original position under fairing and clutch cable follows original routing. Throttle/idler cables are stock, work fine. Will probably replace throttle/idler cables this winter with +2" Black Pearl cables just for appearance sake.
My guess is you could probably get away with all stock cables/lines/wires if you want to reposition/relocate certain components. Both approaches will work. It's your option.
