Missing motor mount nut

Missing motor mount nut

I noticed I have a bolt in the rubber motor mount area in front by my voltage regulator on my 2002 FLHTC, but the nut on the bottom is gone and the bolt is just sitting in there rattling? I have no idea how long it's been like this, but do I have to get some specialty nut at the stealership or can I just go get a nylok nut at the hardware store?

just match the one you still have on. might wanna take out the loose bolt for correct thread, size etc. and a similar nut to the original should be fine. dog 155 answered it best by his note, get to know your bike., do visual inspections and most of the potential problems you can find before they become a big issue.

Yeah.......I know it was there late last season because I installed a new oil cooler and remember it. At least I caught it before it became a serious problem! Thanks guys!
