Default Max 2 slip ons

Anyone have any experience with these slip ons? Can't beat the price. I've heard them and they sound decent. The web site doesn't mention whether or not yo need any other clamps, hangers or hardware to mount them.

Had them on every single Harley I've ever owned (both of them).

Absolutely fantastic - The (perfect) look of "stock" (very handy depending on which county you're in) and a sound (in the case of the Max 2's) that pissed off a buddy of mine who had just spent $800 on Rinehart TD's with some additional tweaks.

THAT SAID:

I found them a little "too loud" (I know - I hate to say it) and to keep the peace in my neighborhood (I ride at all hours), I put my stock right muffler on and the left Max2 (go ahead - try it). Great sound, just enough rumble, not nearly too loud. I don't even worry about going through cities and counties with tough noise ordinances. They look as if they're "factory" and they're certainly not obnoxious - Just "nice" - Exactly what I wanted.

You can get replacement clamps and what not at the dealer if you need them - I always just used what was on the bike already.

The Max IIs are the best bang for the buck I have ever spent for any accessory EVER. The install is a breeze too...your OEM set-up already has provided everything you need to do the swap. I was real apprehensive of these because of the price but when you think about it, HD has already done the expensive work (engineering, forming, plating, etc.) and all these guys are doing is some baffle work so I'd guess there's still a pretty good profit at $125.00 for the vendor. Win win as they say. My opinion as to sound and volume? Deeper in tone than the Sceamin' Eagle slip-ons...about the same as the V&H; about 75% as loud as V&H touring slip-ons, and about 25% louder than Sceamin' Eagle slip-ons. Radio friendly until you really twist the wick. Just right.
