Default Rsuss Wernimont stretched tank question

I just bought a RWD streched tank and was curious if there was any problems with the fuel gauge readings? Will it accuratly measure the fuel level or will in be off in the amount left. I ask because so where I read that a streched tank messed with your gauge reading. Thanks in advance.

I am installing one on my bike (hope to paint next week) as the guy above said it CAN"T be any worse than it was with the stock tank. I have been "watching" the miles on my bike forever, never could depend on the gauge to be "Dead On". I was a little surprised at the amount of work involved in getting the tank ready for paint, especially with the cost at $1K +.

I spoke with the RWD company the other day and they e-mailed me instructions for both carb'd and FI models. From what I understand, it is not an option with carb'd. With FI models, you can bend a few things to make it work. I can't verify any accuracy. Since my install was on a carb'd model, I've strictly been using the old-school mileage method.

Also, I have a seat for sale for your tank if interested. Let me know.

I've tried twice to upload the PDF instruction sheets I received, but they are too big. If you want them, e-mail me and I will return them to you via e-mail. Or you can contact RWD yourself and they can e-mail them directly to you. Good luck.
