I just got my new stretched Baddad saddlebags from the paint shop today. I ordered lids and a complete set of hardware with them. My problem is they didn't include any type of assembly diagram and I'm sure I'm doing several things wrong.
First is a really stupid question. How are you supposed to install the lid gasket? Does it bond to the top or the inside edge of the lid? Second, how in the world do you get the latch screws in the lid tight? I don't see any way to get any kind of tool into that tight of a space. I'ce tried a torx bit and a small ratchet and even that won't fit. So mine are just finger tight which I'm sure isn't a good idea.
Does anybody have any good pictures of how this is all supposed to be assembled? These are my first hard bags, so I'm I'm sure I'm not putting them together correctly. Thanks!
I second the threadlock on EVERYTHING, and carry some tools until everything settles in. I carry GearWrench 35-piece microdriver set from lowes. It has paid for itself ten fold.
