Default Needs help

I own a 2009 Ultra Classic with only 950 miles on it. I have a nail in the rear tire. Can it be patched Or do I have to buy a new tire? I'm thinking about putting a tube in it.

Had the same issue with my new 03 Venture, only had about 200 miles on it. Patched and tubed her and she lasted until I changed the tires at 13K miles.

I had to buy a new tire. There was to much damage to the inside of the tire.

Depends on how low the pressure got in the tire, and how long you rode at the lower pressure. I had one (on a cage) that picked up a screw, and went down about 50% in air pressure. When we popped it off the rim, there was at least two cups of tire rubber in a pretty fine powder inside the tire. That was apparently the sidewall disintegerating. Needed a new tire on that one.
