Car have them, Buses have them, Trucks have them, Honda had them, Scooters and Mopeds almost have them, but why? ? ? If you want to just sit there and steer that is ok, but that is not for me. I am sure someday it will happen.
Because some people are unable to shift at times...due to injury, arthritis, or just want the convenience of not dealing with a clutch!

IMO automatic transmision in any vehicle is boring and its for people who dont know how to drive/ride. I only think automatic transmision is good for people with health problems or injuries.
Im not from the states but I go to states every year. Makes me sad to see a lot of people driving mustangs or corvettes with automatic transmision. Its imposible to enjoy the ride with an automatic.
A mustang or a corvet automatic is a crime. Here in Spain a mustang cost 45000 dollars and a Corvette is 120000 dollars so you guys are lucky to have those cars and a really cheap price. Please dont buy them automatic.
a diferent thing are secuential (no clutch) manual gears like the one ferrari, BMW, or mercedes has because yo can change gears when you want and rise rev.
for me the best is and will always be manual transmision so you can play with clutch and gears. thats real driving
