I had Rinehart TD's before the Fatcat.............the Fatcat(w/quiet baffle) is quieter. I got rid of the Rineharts because they got too loud with my motor work and I couldn't ride without getting a headache. The Fatcat has a sound all it's own.........many say it sounds like a big block muscle car........nice deep rumble.
The guys at RB Racing put out a great 2:1 pipe. They know a bit about torque and have land speed record to back it up. I prefer ceramic coating myself.

I had not heard of them before, and did not have a link to look at the pipes that were being talked about here, plus I am thinking that they may be a little loud too, but not for sure.
While chatting with Chris about an upcoming build he has, I ask what pipe he was planning to use. My "suggestion" (as always) was FatCat. He mentioned that he really likes the RoadRage he has on that Bitch'n SG. After having worked with Zach (Bigzzed) on his 103, using a RoadRage, I agreed that it is also a good choice.
In the end, we agreed that either one should work well for his build.
btw - no plan to change mine.
I would agree 100% with Phil on his comments. If the money is already spent on a Road Rage and you like it.... keep it. Mine actually surprised my tuner with the torque curve it produced. The Road Rage is a good performer, on the same level as a Fat Cat IMO. The problems with the Road Rage are:
1) Looks, not everyone likes that loop
2) COST! Bassani is way to proud of this pipe IMO
3) No heat shields. Gotta buy them separately and they are not cheap.
4) Fit. They are not the easiest pipe to install and space properly.
5) Finish. I can only speak to the black version, but their coating sucked on my pipe.
I have been following this thread since you started it! I also have made my mind up on the FatCat.
Where did you order it from and, if you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for it. I have been looking at Eastern Performance to order mine.
Thanks in advance.
I ordered from Eastern Performance as well. Cost was 679 I think with free shipping. I coul dnot really find much better out there. I order the quiet baffle based on what I have read on here, plus I did talk to Phil M last night on the phone too.
The Fat Cat is over all more quiet than the Rineharts, I have the same cam as you, the combination of the cam and pipe together sounds great.
That RB pipe is a very loud pipe and the people that biuld them are a bunch of dicks, I tried to get one for one of my Sporsters but they where such a pain in the butt I gave up.
