That sounds pretty good to me.

Ok, now I just need to look out there for the better deal on one. And to find a good air cleaner from my other post too. I like this one S&S Single Bore Tuned Induction System

I've had 3 different 2-1 exhausts on my bike...........Thunderheader 2-1, Supertrapp 2-1, and Fatcat 2-1.

Thunderheader sounds great.........but the quality is low, heatshields look like crap, and I got tired of cleaning the soot of the muffler at the cone.

Supertrapp is tunable.........but I didn't like the sound with the closed endcap (too quiet), didn't like the sound with the open endcap (too blatty). The quality is top-notch, heat shields are some of the best coverage.

Fatcat 2-1 (w/quiet baffle)..........great quality, great fit-n-finish, and great heat shield coverage. Sound is absolutely perfect.......deep controlled rumble that will bark when you twist on it. Very very well known to be a top performing exhaust with equal length stepped header pipes.
The quiet baffle has actually been proven to make slightly better numbers on the dyno then the standard baffle. I had the standard baffle first, and I removed it for the quiet baffle and it's much better. I found the standard baffle to be blatty and tinny sounding......not what I wanted.

I am not happy with the sound of my V&H Big Shot duals after my cam swap. They sound great at idle - cruise rpm's but if you wind it out the sound is annoying. 80+ mph on the x-way is loud and has a real sharp crack to them. I'll get the D&D Fat Cat when I can, for now I'll have to live with it.

Does anyone have any good close up photos of the right side of the bike showing the pipes and how they look on there?? Also is the Fatcat all one peice or does it use a clamp in the back/middle to attach the rear part of the pipe?

The front half (the 2 pipe part) is one unit that mounts to that standard mounting flange on the side of the transmission. The muffler slides on to the collector with a single clamp and hangs from the stock hanger plate under the bag. Really was a pretty easy install. Just have to be patient with the head pipes and work them in from the bottom of the jugs where they "V" in and get narrower.

I've got the Bassani road rage 2-1. I really like and was told by my dyno man that he's able to get more power out of it than the fat cat which would be his other choice. I heard a thunderheader yesterday. It's loud and I want one!! The bassani does sound very nice and can get loud when you twist it out.
