okay, so i've had my v&h bigshots with the quiet baffles for almost 3 years. really like them a lot, but now that i have a fairing with tunes, i'm thinking something quieter is in the works.
my thought right now is to go with the v&h dresser duals, and a set of the 50 state legal se touring slip ons. yeah, i know its quiet, but i've heard they have a nice deep tone to them. either way, compared to the 2-1/4" pipe on the big shots, the 4" has got to be a lot deeper.
so my question is, the dresser duals come in chrome or black. the black is ceramic coated. now, will the ceramic coating help reduce any heat radiating off the head pipes? or will it be negligible?
also, i have not seen any bikes with black head pipes and chrome mufflers. does anyone have a setup like this? does it look bad?
