I put one on for a buddy recently, it was a major pain in the fockin ***. What I ended up doing was those 5 piano hinge screws I had to loosen once I set the latch in closed position. I cant remember the exact sequence, but if you tighten the piano hinge normally after setting it in place, then try to close the lid, there is too much tension on the latch. So once you get it closed LOOSEN the piano screws, the latch will move to a more neutral position. The other part of the problem is the new seal in the lid is too hard. After you get it closed, lock it and leave it in that position until the foam seal settles and it will close more naturally.
My buddy said after a wwhile it worked normal. Dont look forward to doing one of those too far off future.

that may be true...I tightened the 5 piano screws then tried the lid....I think I may have bent the latch then.....After some straighten by my dealer I was able to lock the bag...VERY TIGHT as you say....I thought that was the problem at first...the foam seal very new.....well...I ordered the new latch....I figured if I can spend the money to buy the Ultra in the first place....another $75 bucks for a latch doesn't seem that bad at all....especially since the dealer didn't take any money from me and he wants to install it for me
