Has anyone purchased a trailer recently and if so what are some of the Pros and Cons of your Trailer. " If you were to purchase another one"

I don't own a trailer but I did just do a four day trip with a friend last weekend and he pulled his 12 year old Bushtech trailer behind his 97 Roadking. I followed him the whole trip mostly for stopping distance reasons, so I was able to see the trailer perform. What I noticed most was that the trailer didn't seem to affect handling much at all and tracked perfectly. I think the main reasons for this are the swivel hitch and the independant suspension on the trailer wheels. Also, the trailer wheels and tires are more narrow than some other trailers I've seen. They look kind-of like the front tires and wheels from a smaller motorcycle. This seemed logical for handling. Anyway, the trailer was very well made, watertight, lockable, quality gas pistons on the lid and held a whopping 18 cu ft of gear including two full sets of golf clubs. I don't know if Bushtech makes em as good as they used to, but I would start there if I were to get one.

My Brother-In-Law has a Piggy Backer, (http://www.piggybacker.com). I gotta tell you, for the money, I think it's the best deal out there. It was shipped to him at work and we then haul the parts to my house and put it all together after supper one evening. I know the Bushtec is a top quality trailer, (I have an older friend that has one), but you could buy 7 0r 8 Piggy Backers for the price of 1 Bushtec - and the Piggy Backer would be new. If you add a swivel hitch you'll be all set.

#1 rule.....order your trailer "Black", mine has matched my last three bikes.
Ed builds a great trailer and his customer service is top notch.

After dumping my fully loaded scoot on last years trip, I am all for removing all the luggage and its weight from the scoot and putting it in a trailer. I haven't run out and bought one yet but I am always looking at them. I have narrowed it down to a single wheeled style unit for the tracking characteristics. Monogo is one that I am looking at. They don't ship to the US, you have to go and get it (downside). There is a similar one made in Alabama called a Uni-Mate.

Wanna go crazy? Knock yourself out with this.

I purchased one last year. I've used it 3 times, total distance approx 3,000 miles. I think it's a good looking trailer and built really well....high quality. Just keep in mind....you get what you pay for.

Just got back from a 2,000 road trip...and while in Durango ran into a distributor for the Uni-Go trailer. It sure caught everyone's attention and the dealer gave us a look at it. Very impressive...carries a lot more than you'd believe. I've got it saved on my 'favorites' list and would consider one.

Take a look: www.bolterscyclespecialties.com

Ride safe.

I bought a Starlight from Neosho and love it. It has chrome wheels, Chrome bumper and loaded with LED lights for 1,400.

My dad has pulled one for 25+ years. He had an old Swingline for years. He now has an Escapade. It pulls like a dream. The aerodynamics of the trailer make it hug the ground and you can't tell you have it behind. Also they are very roomy with ice chest on the tongue, plenty of chrome and painted to match perfectly to your stock paint job. They are pricey but well worth it if you plan to use if for trips. My dad has over 100K on the trailer between his last two bikes.
