I know this subject has been talked about over and over and over. But I been thinking about doing it. I know I will probably lose quite a bit of money on my dyna was just wondering what peoples opinions were. I would appreciate anyones help/advice.
Once you go to a touring model and especially an Ultra Classic, you won't want to ride anything else. Go for it, you won't be sorry. I used to laugh at the " Geezer Glides", until I rode one......Now I am one

Yeah that is what everyone tells me, my old man has a 09 rkc and it is a joy to ride. I am just going over this in my head. I really want to pull the trigger, but know I should wait till the 10's come out and then get a deal on a 09
I know your pain. I went from a Street Bob to a Street Glide. I loved my Bob and still miss it sometimes, but the difference is night and day. Comfort can't be beat and while you'll probably lose some money (I did), it'll be worth it.
I went from a Wide Glide to Electra Glide and never looked back. I liked the Dyna but there really is no comparison. The Electra Glide is by far a better ride for me. I have never heard of anyone who made the switch and didn't like the bagger. Should be an easy transition unless you are one of those guys who is always second guessing yourself, in which case you will never be happy anyway.
I just sold my 03 Dyna wide Glide and bought a 99 road glide, I rode the Dyna everyday until the wife decided she wanted to go eat one night on the bike. 6 miles to town and she was done on the Badlander seat. Found the RG and once I rode it I wondered why I ever got the Dyna, The R/G has 95 inch, gear drive cams, forged pistons and 52 mm throttle body. All the power one needs and good fuel mileage.. Plus the wife is comfortable.... priceless...The R/G still has the look that says its bad and does not look like your grandpaws bike...
+1 for me. I went from an '03 Night Train to an '09 Road Glide and never looked back. As far as the Geezer Glide thing goes I experienced that first hand this weekend at the Colorado State HOG Rally. I'm 30 and the closest person to my age having a Touring bike was probably 40. That and I'm pretty sure there wasn't anybody there that was born in the same decade as me.
