Help! Bike runs like $hit

Default Help! Bike runs like $hit
2008 Street Glide 4700 miles. Ran perfectly until last evening. Went into town for dinner, came out, hard to start and wont run long. After it dies I hear the pump re-prime, and it starts easily. Runs very rough. All the way home (7 miles) popping, coughing, hard to keep running. Checked the plugs...good. What are the obvious things to look for?

Did you catch the fuel pump/filter recall for the 08 Touring bikes?

Did you get some bad fuel?
maybe you can siphon some in to a clear glass jar and see if you are full of water. It does happen and it sounds like a good place to start..Good luck

Bad fuel, filter, or intake leak. I had an intake leak do the same thing and it took me FOREVER to find it.

Did it show any codes? I think you got some bad gas, but did you get the recall taken care of?

I had a similar problem on saturday, bike started coughing, backfiring, sounded like 1 of the plugs was fouled. Ended up being the plug in the o2 bung fell out. finally an easy fix for once!
