I am having issues with I think clutch. I took it in to dealer and they adjusted the clutch but did so when hot and not sure if that was good or not. It did not correct this problem either way. When leaving a stop and clutch is cold, no problems. But when warm a you are at the stage of clutch hooking up, as you let the lever out the last say half, it makes a kind of rattle, chatter noise. After clutch is all the way out, bike runs fine. Hard to tell if it makes same noise as you shift because of pipe noise and so on. Dealer after clutch adjustment test rode and said something not right and sent me on my way with an appt. booked for JUNE 5th..Said to ride it but go easy which is how I ride so not an issue there. Anyone have an idea what this could be. I have a long trip planned the week after and am concerned that they will screw up my plans. Anyone ever have the rattle, chatter thing going on..05 ULTRA with 12,000 kilometers on it..Could this be still a clutch adjustment thing and should be done again cold or something else..Anyone please..
Use a T27 torx to remove the clutch inspection cover and look down at the clutch basket, oils should be just touching the bottom of the basket. If it is ok, replace the cover and torque the bolts to 108 in/lbs.
