Thanks for the great info Eddy. I've been looking at the Long Rides for a long time....just not sure which height I want. I heard the 6" reacts like an 8"....is that so? Anyone know?
Also, what is the thickness of the windshields?
If anyone has some info on them, it would be appreciated.
By the way....50% or 10%....it's still cheaper any way you look at it.....kinda like 2nd place is still last place.
I want to share my experience with Longride....I purchased a 6 1/2 " dark grey from them thru ebay. They shiped me a medium grey...not the dark. I let them know they shipped the wrong one. They said "no problem! Keep that one for now, and we'll ship out the dark one at no charge." 3 days later, I have the dark shield, and they didn't want the other one back! So I got 2 shields for 55 bucks!! Great customer service, and a good shield for the money!
Agreed-- I was one of the initial testers of the X Stream when it was in early production. I sent my review to them and mentioned I was happy with it but had to open up the mounting holes a bit on each end of the shield for a good fit.
Matt at LRS sent an upgrade of his ver 1 shield at no charge to me and I'm in Australia. His cost to ship that was $30 USD + his cost to manufacture it...it doesn't get any better than that...
I like the X Stream very much but am about to order an Ultra Flip to try one out. Sale is on now ex LRS at $65 +S&H.
