I put two of the stock rubber shifter pegs together. I did put a couple of hollow steel spacers inside them before running a long bolt through both, Looks like a factory job. Since I had all the parts laying around, the cost was not much. If you didn't already have parts, the rubber shift peg from Harley would probably be the most expensive thing. Spacers and long bolt come from hardware store.
Resurrecting this thread from the dead! ( shows I at least attempt using the SEARCH function before posting.....lol)
Anyway, anyone else come up with solutions to this problem? I would like to see or hear them.
I would like to find some off the shelf parts that will extend the front shift peg out about 2 inches or so and allow me to KEEP the rear heal shift arm and peg.
Looks and function are important so looking for some ideas you big foot guys have come up with that looks clean and strong.

Great Idea I got a longer shoulder bolt with the same dia. as stock from an Industrial supply store(Fastenal). I used the Factory rubber then I cut the factory heal rubber to the lenght I needed.
Kuryakyn makes a wider shifter peg (Iso Longhorn) and a extra wide brake pedal. I have both on my bike and they work fine. The brake pedal is quite wide and my friends like to call it the '59 Caddy brake pedal. I rather like it. Others my find it too big for thier tastes.
Nobody markets a 2" extended shift peg, i made one for my dad, just need to find someone with a lathe that can turn down a section of aluminum to match the diameter of the shift peg you have, thread both ends and bolt it up.

I have that brake pedal extender on order already. Since I can't find any floorboard inserts that I like for the 2012 limited yet, I think I'll be fine sticking with the OEM style brake pedal.
I do have the same problem with the brake as I do the shifter and I am sure this will help. I have been holding out as I HATE Kuryakyn chrome! But I do not see anything else on the market to extend the OEM brake pedal so I went ahead and ordered it
