Just ordered a set of floorboard extensions for my 2008 FLHX from HDForums advertiser harleygoodies.com, based on the reviews on this site.
Was wondering whether anyone who has installed the product, or Tom himself, could address whether there's any need to modify the shift peg because the foot is further out.
I currently have a SoftBrake extended brake lever on one side, and a Walter's Workshop extended shift lever on the other with a Streamliner peg. My 14EEEs hang over the side of the footboards, looking to bring the boards out so I have more support.
Are you running with the heel shifter as well? If not, where do you have the toe shifter located? Meaning do you have it near the base of the spline, in the original location, or do you have the spacer on the spline that moves it out, where the heel shifter would be? I would think that as long as you have the spacer in there, you should be fine.

I'm using the Kury extensions without the heel shifter and have installed the Kury Longhorn Iso-shift peg (#8021). It extends the peg outward a bit and I have no issues with its placement.

Thanks. Great site.
I have 3/4 inch extensions on mine. I removed the heel shifter and installed a spacer to move the shifter out and fill the gap left by the heel shifter. I don't use the heel shifter because I have another bike without it and I can't seem to get used to it.
Here's a pic so you can see the spacer. I got it for around $20 on Ebay.
I have the spacers and find the shifter arms/pegs to be no problem. I was constantly bumping my feet on them when just cruising. Now they're not in the way, but easily reachable when I shift.
