Not sure I understand ,,if you do a Stage 1 download / stock aircleaner and add slip-ons your saying the bike WON'T RUN BETTER
I think it should ?? ??
If you add slip ons it doesn't make a noticable improvement.....doing the stage 1 download afterwards is pretty mush useless because it brings it back to factory specs, and since just slip ons wont lean it out anymore than stock mufflers really the download is'nt needed and wont make a real difference. Change the a/c and add slip ons then the stage 1 download will take it back to specs and the performance will definately increase.
I don't understand. Why do IEDs only work at idle?
My current understanding is that they work at all points during closed loop operation. Specifically I thought any of the IED products are changing the voltage read from the O2 sensor. So the ECM is still getting a signal from the O2 sensor, and it reacts to that signal anytime during closed loop mode. The IED is just changing the voltage level so when the O2 sends a signal equating to 13.8, the ECM is reading it as 14.6.
I was told by Nightrider that they only work under 1200 rpms, thus providing more fuel while idle. Mybe someone with more knowledge can clear it up.
