I posted this question in the tire section, but didn't get any response. Has anyone tried Dyna Beads([ http://dynabeads.net/ ) to balance tires. I have read the webpage info and talked to the local trucking company that uses them. The owner says best decision he ever made concerning tires, says they wear more even and the ride is good. I am considering giving them a try, and just wonder if anyone had tried them.

Reason: mistake
I have had good and bad experience with them. No fault of the beads themselves but the install. If the tech uses soap, or the shop air has moisture in it they will clump and not balance. They will actually do the opposite. I would even get the tech to wipe the inside of the tire to remove any sticky residue if this is a new install. These things must freely roam around in there or they won't work. Do right, they work fantasically as my 200mm will attest to. Unfortunately with my new wheel and tire for the front, the tech did it all wrong and I had to clean the mess up and used stick ons for now. That's my nuts and bolts experience with them.

when changing the rubber, Make sure everything is DRY. I use a little grease on the bead only to help seat the rubber to the wheel. This leaves the inner rubber dry. Make sure your compressor puts out dry air and your set. I install the beads thru the valve stem (slower, but thats ok with me) this also avoids losing any when you instalthe tire.
Bike runs GREAT with them no vibration or otehr balance problems at all.
We have been using them for a few years now on every custom wheel we install. They work great if you install them like was stated above. We always install the through the valve stem and that is what is rec. from dynabeads themselves. Never heard a bad review from any of our customers and I have ridden with them in the tires with speeds in excess of 120 with no problem. They sell a retail kit that has everything you need to install them too.
I just had them installed 2 weeks ago when the shop mounted my new tires. I didn't want any stick on weights on my chrome wheels so figured i would give them a try. They seem to work great... no issues so far at all.
I installed the Dyna Beads in my 08 Ultra a few weeks ago and they work great. the bike is smooth. Removed all the vibration from the handlebars that I had before.
I also run nitrogen in my tires so I don,t have to worry about any moisture problem that rbabos spoke of in his post.
