Glad you're OK! The bike can be fixed or replaced so relax and chalk it up to experience. It's always a reminder that these things happen in an instant. Your helmet did it's job and you're here to tell us the story so now it's time to focus on your next bike!
any time you lay a big bike down and your able to walk away with just a couple of scraches you know who's watching over you pastor. for the bike thats why we have insurance!
Glad you made it through ok, with only a few minor scrapes and bruises. It's always good to be able to walk away from a dropped bike. (I have only dropped a couple, and they were VERY minor falls, unless you count the dirt riding!)
Rest easy, and start shopping for the new scoot!
My father wrecked his Electra Glide back in 68, had a retired DR. pull into a driveway in front of him, that wasn't the problem, it was when he backed back out right away, (Turning around) in front of Dad that turned into the PROBLEM, Dad hit him in the right rear quarter, (Big ole Buick Electra) and he turned the car 90* when he hit it. (Dad was doing abour 45 and didn't have a chance to hit the brakes hardly).
He was in a cast for 13 months, after the second Dr to look at it had to RE-BREAK his ankle to make it set right....
He got his new 69 Electra Glide and was riding it in a WALKING CAST! LOL

Thanks y'all. What made me go down? Um...stupidity. I made 300 miles of good choices and with 1.5 miles to go I made a stupid decision. Too fast. For what it's worth, there's no sign warning you of the curve. No sign warning of a speed limit. Nothing. I knew the curve, just went stupid for about two seconds too long. I've wondered if I had tried to accelerate through the curve if it had been better. I'll probably replay it in my head until I get on another one and then I'll be fine. All the little muscles are hurting today. Neck, abs, hand, those kinds of things. Thanks for the support.

I've been a Baptist pastor before. Motorcycle wrecks are easy; church wrecks hurt deep. If I was laid out in a bed I doubt my attitude would be as good, but hey, I'm alive and have a story to tell. I'd rather not have a second story to tell about a second wreck, but woohoo!
Pastorralph,
Thank God you're okay. That is the most important thing in this whole deal. The bike, as much as you love(d) it, can be replaced. You were able to walk away, which is a blessing in and of itself.
