I have a 2001 Electra Glide Standard without a security system. I installed all LED turn signals, LED brake light, and LED fender tip lights. The rear turn signals are the Radiantz dog eyes, the rest are from Ride TIme Technology. The lights are fantastic and make the bike very visible.
Unfortunately, I installed a Badlands Load Equalizer III that simply does not work. When the bike is turned off, the lights flash normally. When the bike is idling, everything is fine. When I'm on the road and am turning 2,000 RPM or more the turn signals flash very rapidly as if there were no load equalizer in the system at all.
I thought there may be too many volts in the system since the problem arises only at RPM levels above idle. At the battery the system is at 12.85 volts at idle and up to 14.35 at higher RPM. The Harley techs say that's just right.
So here's my question. Is the Badlands a POS or is something else going on?
