I am assuming you are concerned about your rake and trail which is what affects handling. Perse Performance had an interactive calculator but for some reason it not coming up today but check out this link for info on how to check it yourself with a couple of tools.

I have heard the 21" conversion makes the front end twitchy at speed which would indicate reduced trail. There are a lot of guys that have done it and are very happy with it though. Personal preference as all modifications are.

We might as well complicate things one step further and ask what happens when you adjust the load in your rear shocks? I use an Arnott suspension system and can raise lower my frame on the fly and can tell you first hand that it changes the performance characteristics of handling with my 21/18 set-up.

I've seen no adverse affect from going 21-18. No high speed twitch no wobble no low speed turn problems. Mine has not been lowered and I don't intend too. The bike turns easier in corners than the 16's. It's all good

Again- I ve heard and read time and time again to lower the front end 1 inch. The only thing I can see this doing is bringing the front of the frame down an inch . But- if the frame is level front to back then why is this whats reccomended ???

I switched to a 21"/18" setup on my '08 Street Glide. I'm a member of a drill team, and haven't had any issues performing at the low speeds - although the bigger front wheel is noticeably heavier to turn than the stock wheel. I have not made any suspension adjustments - but am looking at replacing my shocks, as they have 10k on them, and I feel its about time.
