Default FXRG Perforated Leather Jacket

Wondering if anyone can help with this. Is the FXRG Perforated leather jacket waterproof/water resistant? The HD site doesn't mention the coat is, but says the liner is. The other 2 jackets says they are. Now, perforated has lots of holes, so I can't imagine it is 'waterproof'......but the liner behind it is. Anyone know if this setup works in the rain??

The FXRG leather can get wet without being harmed. But you're still better off just wearing a rain jacket over the FXRG and keeping it dry. That way you don't have a soggy leather jacket afterward.

The liner is the water proof part as HD says but I agree with Twinrider about wearing rain gear over it. A soaked, soggy leather jacket gets very heavy.

It's definately not waterproof. But, the quality of the leather and construction is outstanding.

Thanks guys. I'm going to go try some on today. Maybe the fabric would be better and not as heavy in the rain? Just not sure I can ride without leather on...

No one said don't wear leather, just throw a rain suit over it when it's wet out. The FXRG lineup rocks.

Try the FXRG fabric jacket. I have the full suit for traveling and it is great. Also much lighter than leather, looks great, and supposidly same protection.
Hope I never have to find out if that last statement is true. Great stuff though.
