Sounds like you let them throw a price at you then throw a fit about it then tell them how much you think you should give them difference.
Our local dealership is flooded with consignment and trade in bikes but the prices do not reflect it, consignment bikes are customers asking price plus what Earl want to make on it..
He does have a 2001 Road Glide with 67k miles, seem to be well taken care of asking 12k for it.

I'm certainly glad you got a good deal. It'd be nice though if the rest of us were let in on what the deal was so we could share in your glee.

Smile Not Yet

I have not picked it up yet so photos will be next week.

The reason I have not shared the deal is the inevitable reply of could have done better. I am in sales and I have learned a good deal is "a deal you feel good about". I do. Or I should say I did......

I am selling my 2003 BMW K1200LTE. Everything was working perfectly until a few days ago. I thought I just needed a new fuse to get the radio system working. No such luck. The radio is cooked - $1,000 fix. Yes I have checked crash recovery sites, Ebay, and the like for a possible alternative. NO luck.

So, moral of the story is saved some money in one hand and spent it in the other. Nobody died. Nobody got hurt. Like marches on.

I still look forward to the new ride.

True enough, if you are happy that's all that matters. Me, I got chitty deals on both of my bikes but was still happy as a clam to have them.
