I am in the insurance business. My BMW dealer suggested I submit a claim for the cooked radio from the torrential rain. At first I thought NO WAY. Then I remembered claims paid on flooded cars and cars falling through the ice. I submitted the claim yesterday. I emailed the repair estimate today and heard from the adjuster this afternoon. I was surprised when I got an email reply saying your claim check went out today.
First off, thanks to my dealer for thinking about me.
Second, shame on me for not knowing this could be a covered loss.
Yes, i could have waited for a 2010. Year end savings was a factor.
Back to my prior post. I bought a nice bike at a good price. There are always better bikes and better prices in the future. You have to make a decision and go forward. That is what I did. Now I just want the bike and to start racking up some mileage!
Yeah....been hearing about some pretty insane deals lately, like $2000-2500 UNDER MSRP for Touring bikes. Gotta love that. I paid $1000 under MSRP Dec '07 and that was quite a deal then, but now......WOW!

By the way....saw from your post you owned a BMW K75RT. Great Bike. I rode a K75S. It was a smooth machine and lots of fun.
I got a price of 21,981 otd on a Black pearl Ultra with ABS and no security. Wish the economy hadn't screwed everything up. Hope I can get a similar deal offered to me when I recover.
