Im working on some other designs right now, and for you shark nose riders why don't you send me some ideas on what would make a windshield right for you and let me see what I can come up with, I am already cooking some things up but Im going to need some good beta testers and some input.
No actually, the impact modified material doesn't scratch so easy as you would think, and it cleans up nice. The problem with the film is that when it wears out it looks hideous. it also causes the windshield to turn yellow after sitting in the sun.
How is that a bonus? Wouldn't it get scratches very easily?

I guess you are talking to me. That sounds great. If I ever need another shield I'll let you know. Yours looks just like my 9 1/2" Clearview Recurve and it works great for me. I can always stand a little better price and availablity. I'll bookmark your sight, thanks.

Are these shields shipped flat or are they preformed to fit the curvature of the fairing?
The only shields that we sell are heat formed into the curved and flip-up design. They're built to fit the curvature of your fairings, we make them and ship them that way.
We do not want riders over-stressing a flat shield into shape using their fairings, as this can pose a significant safety issue.

Amen to that. I still don't know why folks keep buying those cheap flat pieces of plastic that need to be bent into the fairing and bolted on. No way that's good for fairing mounts.

Not only bad for the fairing, the shields can shatter with the smallest strike from road debris due to being over-stressed. Nobody wants shards of shield in the face.
Whereas a formed windshield maintains its strength and structural integrity, leaving it capable of taking punishment.
