get a old panhead they hold there value, 65 with electric start

saw an 05 with 25000 miles go for 13500 yesterday.dont get 2 set on the 6 speed my old 05 did just fine with 5. the 6 speed is NOT a overdrive they lowered the first 5 and geared up the primary and finnal drive so that u get some wierd stuff,like first gear feels to tall when going from a dead stop then it runs up the rpm real fast and u cant get 2nd fast enough.on the 07 and 08 they geared them to tall to be really usable in 6th with 2 up and a full load yet 5th is a little to low to run at 60-65.corected that for 09.

Buddy of mine has an 02 Ultra with 90K miles. Regular maintenance, and otherwise, hasn't had to do anything to it.

Big changes from '07 to '08 were, if I remember, 6 gallon tank, IDS, throttle by wire. You can add IDS to an '07 like I did, and you can keep throttle by wire, I think I'll stick with cables. Now the 6 gallon tank would be nice...

I have a 07 and I'm happy with it, now that I installed the IDS. Go for a 08 or newer if you can fit it in your budget, they have the IDS from the factory.

My credit score is really good. They do 10 year notes?

Not sure I would want a 10 year loan.

I have an 06' Road King...5 gears... no worries. It's been a workhorse and the only problem I've had is cruise control was replaced the first year on H-D's dime.
