If I couldn't get a new one, I would go with the 05 Ultra - find one who had the valve seals replaced. Would be even better to find one with a cam/exhaust upgrade and gear drive cam.
I am kind of a Gear head. Has anything with the radio/speakers/intercom and CB stuff changed over the years? Like have the fairings always had a cigarette lighter plug? Has it always been a harmon kardon radio? etc.
Harmon Kardon radios were introduced on the 2006 models. I don't know about the cig lighter, as its something I never use anyway lol
Cb module also shouold have changed to work with the Harmon Kardon in 2006 I would think.
I have an 04 EGS and my buddy has an 04 Ultra. One thing on both of our wish lists is the 6 speed transmission. If you can score one, that would be my recommendation.
