I have the stock driving lights on my 03 Electraglide. I have installed HID lighting and now the stock driving lights are a dull yellow in comparison, I would like to upgrade these as well. Does anyone know of a source?
Thanks.
I'm thinking about the same thing but... you might want to consider daytime visibility and take a look at your HID from the front - the perspective of left-turning cagers (the blind ones).
The HID performance is outstanding but the color temperature is very white - close to neutral in the daytime. That faded-out yellow color temp of normal old incandescents offers some contrast, albeit at reduced brilliance.
I was thinking about going ahead and sticking some brighter and whiter bulbs in the driving lights anyway though and compensating for the reduced contrast during the day by getting a pair of these in yellow from Cee Baileys - pop then on during the day and off at night.

I have the H-D halogen inserts with replaceable H3 bulb in my EG. They come with a puny 33w bulb but I replaced 'em with 55w H3s I picked up at Auto Zone. Bulbs are cheap and you can pick 'em up almost anywhere. Part # 68208-98A, Pg 643 in the '09 P&A catalog.
Got mine wired to the accessory circuit to stay on with the high beams as well.
I don't know of any option that's going to get you a lot more light.
I switched to Wagner 4415A on my 07 RK. This is a true amber sealed beam. Has a greater dispersion pattern (45 degrees instead of stock 12) and the amber really gets attention - day & night. Plus, I like the way they look, even when the bike's just sitting there. Have some pics somewhere if you're interested.
Bright *** Lights was coming out with a LED set for the driving lights. don't know if they are out yet, but they looked like a great option. certainly their tail light gets your attention.
