Alone alot. Very small group with best buds, 3-4 bikes often. Big group rides hardly ever. Don't like riding with people that I don't know how they ride and vice-versa at all. Have seen too many crazies. Could leave for a cross-country trip at any time by myself and have a great time.
Yeah I like solo as well but have done most of my trips with friends and family. When with other I just go into it with no expectations. If we stop we stop. Pretty good group to ride with and for the most part enjoy the time.
+ 1 !!! No need to explain 14 hour days in the saddle to anybody, no need to explain, when you need to turn back for that magnificent view, no need to listen when somebody tells you, you are crazy to leave your hotel before sunrise....
I've never been much of a people person anyway...so I prefer to ride alone. I get frustrated riding with a group. Everyone getting in my way.
My last ride with a big group just made me realize that big groups take too much energy to really enjoy. Always like meeting up with them somewhere, but not follow the pack.
I think that pretty much fits everyone's personality type here. Just saying.
Hopefully this coming weekend, I will be heading to Whitesboro, Tx to visit my grand dad's grave. Haven't been there since he passed away. Going by myself.
