Default Adjustment Question

I have an 09 EGC and have noticed an engine ticking noise while the engine is warming up. I have switched from dino oil to syn., could this cause this? I asked the service manager at the dealership about any adjustments that might need to be made, and he said there were no adjustments. This doesn't sound right. Does anyone know if there are any valve, lifter, etc adjustments that could cause this. After the engine is warmed up the ticking/knocking is not so noticable. Anyone with expience with this issue?

My valves, lifters, etc. were a little more noisey after changing to synthetic too. I was told that's normal :-), there is some threads on this forum about this

Hell, my '09 Ultra with 7,000 miles on it sounds bloody awful until its been ridden about ten miles. I'm no expert, but I think a change to quality lifters may be in MY future. In view of the fact that the top end of the engine gets it's oil through the hollow pushrods, which in turn get filled through the lifters, God only knows how long it's taking for the lifters to fill and then push oil up the pushrods. Oil pressure on these beasts means nothing except that oil is flowing, somewhere, it is by no means a guarantee that the oil is getting to all the places its supposed to. In my case, I can warm the thing up for 15 minutes and it's still noisy and gutless until actually ridden for the aforementioned 10 miles. This leads me to believe that the lifters are very slow to fill, resulting in valves that aren't opening properly, hence the lack of power, and less than ideal oil flow to the top of the motor. I could be full of crap, but I feel better for venting, lol.
Let us know what you find. PLEASE.
