H-D oil cooler---Help

im thinking about adding a oil cooler. if i replace the air temp gauge with a Oil temp Gauge.. will it read accurate temp of oil or only read temp of oil once the flow of oil goes through the oil cooler ? there is also a digital dipstick oil temp/level indicator.. are they any good or Oil temp on dash is way to go... any feedback would help...
The HD kit is $139 and can probably be had for $112 at Chicago HD. I don't have a part number so ask your dealer, not me. I do know that there are 3 part numbers depending on the gauge face style.

Run the HD coolers on both the Dyna and the SG. They finally have fixed an issue with the older style ones of twisting when removing the oil filter which I have to use a large screw driver to hold the filter housing in place while removing the filter on my dyna. They fixed this on the newer versions and what I have on the SG. Heard very good things about the Jagg 10 row. I believe the HD ones are made by Lockhart (at least they used to be). Oil coolers will not change the heat you feel being generated by the engine
