I just sold my 07 SG. Now I'm looking for Full dressed model. Which do you think is the best. This will be for touring only long distance ridding. Best options and what to stay away from.
Looking at 05 - 09 models.
For solo touring the '07 SG would've been excellent with some adjustments, like a Tour Pak, real windshield, cruise control, and better rear shocks. Done...instant solo touring bike. Add lowers and you're practically an Ultra, all dressed up and ready for someplace to go. For two-up I think an EGC is the best bang-for-the-buck touring rig, but your passenger might really like the idea of rear speakers and armrests like you get with an Ultra.
I've got a detachable tour pak for my RG and I would not trade it out for anything. It has a unique look and I feel it handles the best of the touring bikes due to the frame mounted fairing.
Road Glide if your wanting to go with a Harley... Gold Wing if you want the true all around best bike. I know, I know how dare I say that, but we all know it...
