Today I changed out my original OEM Brembo rear brake pads @ 17,911 miles using the new improved HD anti-squeal pad kit. It consisted of nothing more than new pads, pad pin & clip, and a anti-seize paste applied to rear of pad. The pad pin diameter is larger by .020 (.254 vs .234) I suppose to keep the pads from shifting? I believe I still had at least another 2,000 miles or more left on these pads but changed them out any how.
The front original pads are still in fine shape! From the looks of them at least another 5,000 miles I'm guessing. The inner pad was thinner than the outter pad I noticed.
Concerning the Brembo squeal that I experienced when I bought the bike new last April 08, it lasted until about 5-7,000 miles I'm guessing then never happened again. I'll keep ya posted if any new noise start from these new rear Brembo pads.

I used an rtv (Permatex) on the rear of my front pads early on when I got the bike. Never have had an issue yet.
Do you have the part number for that kit. I just bought new pins trying to get rid of the squeal and if they're the same as the old ones, I'm going to take them back.
