Moving up from a Shadow 750. Been shopping for a while for the best deal. 2004 EG Classic with 3,700 miles, immaculate, got it for $12,600. Completely stock as I bought it, added a couple chrome pieces already. The seller prepped it with a $700 service at the local HD dealer as it sat for the last 3 years. Was shopping for an RK, but the wife had a long ride on my cousin's EG and that was the end of the RK. What an awesome bike the EG, such a difference from the Honda. Going to have this for a long time and enjoy the hell out of it.
So here is a lesson for all of us. Keep in shape and watch your health. This is why it sat for 3 years. Guy bought it new, drove it into 2006. At 50 years old with high blod pressure, it damaged the seller's optic nerves and he went blind. For the last 3 years he hoped his vision would recover. Finally gave it up and sold the bike. At 52 this guy's life is in tough shape. Felt really bad for him when I picked it up as he was devastated getting rid of the best thing he ever had
Congrats from another "metric" convert.
Some say you'll never get rid of your first Harley. Too bad that guy had to let his baby go. I'm sure it's in good hands.
