I noticed that in one of the pics in the above link there were options to test your audio system. mine has had an ongoing problem of not reaching full volume except only for a short "blip" then returning to about 3/4 level. the volume bar still shows it to be at full volume but it isn't. I've taken it back to the dealer and the radio was replaced only to have the same problem come back. dealer says that there's nothing wrong as they cannot duplicate it (aka they don't want to mess with it) just wondering if I can do this myself and possibly fix the problem.
Is your auto volume control on? try playing with that...turn it off...I think i saw somebody mention that before.

I have the 09 Street Glide with a display on the radio goes blank, unable to see the text. All other functions work fine when the display blanks. Thoughts?
Software downloads via disc can be tricky, especially if your downloading and burning on your own.
I've just installed the ipod interface and downloaded the software for the update & the ipod update and all I get on the radio face id "verifying dsp image" and it does nothing else. Have tried re-burning the files to a cd and still no dice. Any thoughts
Mine won't update either...get the "verifying DSP image" message and thats it. I'm just leaving it alone. I'm going with the old "if it aint broke, dont fix it" method.
You have to burn the CD at a 2X rate and make sure you close the session so that the CD cannot accept any more files and it will work. Also make sure you burn the files on a CD vice DVD media.

What's particularly frustrating is the tech at the dealership admitted he hears the problem, but he claims "they all do it". Because of that, HD corporate won't authorize a new radio for me. I'm letting this get under my skin..
if it's normal, then ask them to show you on another bike. if they get another bike (or 2) that doesn't do it, then you've just shown them, it's not normal.....
