I just bought a 06 EG Standard. I have the 2.5 Rush Slip On's. They are awesome. Nice deep sound. Not loud enough to **** of the neighbors but when I pull on it, you know I am there... You cant go wrong with the Rush's. TRUST ME!!!

Here is a pic of the straight cuts...

Check out this thread too!!! https://www.hdforums.com/m_428837/tm.htm SE's sound tinny to my ears.

I consider myself an expert on RUSH mufflers - talked to the manufacturer and MOCO many times about these - my MPG dropped from 42 to around 32 after these and a SE AC and PCIII - went in for a dyno and got it back up to 38.

BUT as far as the mufflers go, I started with the 2.0 baffles - very TAME - MUCH MUCH better than stock setup though. Even the wife liked that new sound.

BUT I needed more - just didn't have that "bark" or thump thump. Still sounded like a Honda.

Went to 2.5" baffles (it is a whole other email about changing baffles - email me when/if you get to this point - many tips).

THE 2.5" BAFFLES TURN HEADS - AWESOME SOUND - LOVE IT - LOUD BUT NOT OBNOXIOUS - JUST RIGHT - MAKES MY 05 ULTRA A MEAN MACHINE

Usually get comments like "what a barker" - "is that legal" - "did you change your pipes" - "killer sound" - "how did you do that". "the windows rattle (wife)" NO WAY are they tinny.

From my experience, I highly recommend going with the 2.5" immediately. They are not too loud - I can still use/hear my radio in the city or on the hiway. Real Harley sound.

Only caveat - wife does not like 'em - and says I am going deaf That's OK, I'll just get a hearing aid!!!

Hope this helps. Pic below is slash cut 15301's.

A friend of mine put them on his Street Glide but took them off after a few weeks. they just sounded to loud on that bike anyway. He put SE slip on and funny thing is he gained a fair amount of HP/TQ (had it dynoed with both pipes.

They are supposed to be loud or kinda loud. Else the scooter will sound like a wind up toy made by that one company that starts with an H and ends with an A.

Thanks to all for the info. The HD Dealer quoted $295.00 Is there a standard map with the PCIII or SERT that I can use with the Rush pipes until I can locate a dyno machine here in Columbia, SC. The new dealer had a Dyno installed but still not working, something to do with the braking.

I am thinking about the following:

Rush Pipes 2.25 or 2.5
SE Air Kit
Not sure about the tuner, I really don't plan to make any major changes to the motor(Yes, I have said that before and ate my words, but now I am older and more mature - I think)
Dealer suggested the HD Fuel Tuner or down loaded MAP. Should i go ahead and spend the money for the SERT or PCIII Comments?

How does the Rush sound compared to the V&H Basic Slip-On's?

Rush mufflers are being sold by Harley-Davidson dealers around the U.S.. When I was looking for the "Slash-UP" with 2" baffles I had to purchase mine from a H-D dealer in IL and I live in TX. The moron charged me IL sales tax on top of everything and refused to give me a refund on the sales tax. I will not be making any purchases from them again. Call Rush direct and ask them for the dealers who should have them in stock. Otherwise it is pot luck looking around from dealer to dealer.

I have a set of brand new Rush 2.25" slash cuts for sale - only 15 miles on them. They are in perfect condition - not a scratch on them. I'll sell them for $225, and I'll pay the shipping. Let me know if you are interested.
