Default RE: True Track

While searching I found this humor:

Arthur Davidson of the Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Corporation died and went to heaven. At the gates, St. Peter told Arthur, "Since you've been such a good man and your motorcycles have changed the world, your reward is that you can hang out with anyone you want in Heaven."
Arthur thought about it for a minute and then said, "I want to hang out with God."

St. Peter took Arthur to the Throne Room, and introduced him to God.

Arthur then asked God, "Hey, aren't you the inventor of woman?"

God said, "Ah, yes."

"Well," said Arthur, "professional to professional, you have some major design flaws in your invention.

1. There's too much inconsistency in the front-end protrusion.
2. It chatters constantly at high speeds.
3. Most of the rear ends are too soft and wobble too much.
4. The intake is placed way too close to the exhaust. And finally,
5. The maintenance costs are outrageous."

"Hmm, you may have some good points there," replied God, "hold on." God went to his Celestial super computer, typed in a few words and waited for the results. The computer printed out a slip of paper and God read it quickly.

"Well, it may be true that my invention is flawed," God said to Arthur, "but according to these market survey numbers, more men are riding my invention than yours."

http://www.sta-bo.com/ Take a look at that. Therte are other posts here about them as well. Much cheaper fix. No parts to be added or subtracted. Just stiffens it up a bit. I imagine if you have spokes you should check for true. Also, watch where you park your bike and beware of A******S. I once found both my tires at 22 lbs pressure. Wold have to have been done with a tire guage to get them both to the same pressure. 10-22 is cop code for disregard. Back when I was on patrol this happened. I know one thing for sure. Cops should not be allowed to smoke crack. Karma.

Thanks for that link. I was wondering if anyone was making stiffer bushings. I still think the MOCO should pay for all parts and labor to correct this problem.

The sta-bo works great but I must say that I found the lions share of the wobble was in the OEM Dungflop tires.
I run Metzler 880s and have for years now and the wobble hasn't been a real issue.
I'm on my second E-glide now and have done about 150,000 miles on them and I ride hard.
The Sta-bo really halped handling accross the board from low speed parking lot manuvers to high speed big sweepers.
I also raised the footboards a notch and now I can go like hell through the twisties.
