Well, I like the way the 2010 Road Glide custom looks. I like the new wheels, but not sure about the 18 inch front, although this probably gives alot more tire choices. Not too crazy about the rear tail light. I would want the rear passenger floor boards, cause I use them as a brace against my leg when I'm moving the bike around the garage. I also like the look without the headlight cover, although it looks like it would be harder to clean around the headlights without that cover. And, it comes stock with the windshield I like. But, nothing earth shattering and I won't be trading in my 09 sharknose. If the 2010 had a bigger engine, then I would consider it, but as it stands, very happy with what I got. As a side note, I really like those alligator wheels on the 2010 SE Street Glide.
Doesn't mean that the FLTRU won't come out midyear like the bones and rocker did???
FWIW, the 2010 painted parts matrix is out with pn#'s for the painted parts. It is listing the FLTRU which subsequently shows pn#'s for a tourpak!!!!! The colors that the FLTRU will be offered in are flame blue pearl, brilliant silver, vivid black and red hot sunglo
I had high hopes for a new Ultra Road Glide in 2010, but I'm saddened by what the MOCO has produced. The Road Glide Custom is, in my opinion, a step down from the 2009 Road Glide. I thought new models were suppose to be an improvement over last year's models, but clearly that isn't the case.
I'm happy that I bought my 2009 Road Glide when I did. It's a true touring bike.

Dawg.. can this be seen online or is it only available to dealers...
How 'bout a link???
The FLTRU would be awesome and would help explain the RG Custom. So many of us end up spending a lot of time and money building our own FLTRU's, while another group works toward a more abbreviated version similar to the Street Glide. A mid-year introduction of the Ultra would certainly be welcome!
I suppose it's hard to top the massive introduction of new technology that occurred in 2009; the lackluster introductions in the 2010 lineup are probably a result of the economy and poor condition of MoCo. Now if we can all muster up a little patience....
>> Now if we can all muster up a little patience....
..... words of wisdom if I ever heard'm !
... i'm liking what is see of an emerging FLT marketing plan by the MoCo. The RG custom gives those who appreciate the stripped & lowered look a fixed fairing ride that they don't have to build themselves.
.. and then for the REST of us, the option's there for HD to go the 'Ultra LTD' route they've just unveiled on the Classic & give us a dedicated RG Limo (mid year or 2011) w/ the 103 kit & other off-the-rack parts w/very little added effort.
.... when you're just changing a few parts on the line to hit 2 entirely different market niches, that's efficient (profitable) production & smart thinkin' from the Harley bean counters.
....... now all the 'style guys' gotta do is slip 'Yellow Pearl' into the 2011 color scheme ;-)
