2009 FLHRC Vivid Black
+1 on the bolts.... Not so much for fear of the bags falling off but the RK Classic Leather covered bags don't lock.....If some crack head is gonna steal them he is gonna need a wrench.............
Great! If you can, I'd order from an online 20% off dealer to save another $100 or so.
Yep, order in at my dealer Chicago HD 20% off so that works out well. I was very impressed with the ladies at customer service they were concerned, professional, and worked quickly to help me when they really did not have to. Now about that dealer in Wisconsin not so much...
[QUOTE=Harleydog1;5346374] I have a 2009 street glide and lost the right side bag this week.
I had the same thing happen to my 2007 SG the second day I had it, sitting at a light ant it just fell off, had just got off the frw, of course it flipped on the top before I could catch it... Went to the dealer and ask if they would replace the
top, the SM and tech got in a huddle and when it was all done they said I must have not secured it right.... problem is I NEVER HAD THEM OFF.. I lost ALL respect for them at that point... also it was my 3rd harley from them.... I have dreams of walking into the dealer and every bag in the showroom falling off as the SM walks by me... I can dream can't I???
Well my bag came in yesterday. I had ordered it from Chicago HD. When I ordered it the parts guy said it would be $408.00 with discount. Great, the parts guy was told of the good will money that was coming from HD and did not charge me at order time because of the $ coming from HD. All seems good.
Chicago HD called yesterday to say the bag was in but could not find any "good will" money from Harley. After several hours and many conversations with the owner of Chicago HD the parts guy calls back and says they found the money and to come get my bag.
When I ordered it they told me it would be $408.00 with discount. They did not tell me List price and I did not even look it up as I thought all was cool. When I get to the store my bill was for $562.10 minus the money from HD. WTF... The parts guy was super cool and said he knew I was gonna be pissed but that NO DISCOUNT for me came straight from the owner. I reminded him of the $408.00 price at order time and he remembered but said nothing he could do.
Needless to say that is one **** poor way to run a business. Keep in mind I have purchased 3 brand new bikes from this Jerk in the last 14 months. A 2009 BMW LT in April, a 2008 BMW RT in August and this Street glide last April. I must say all of my transactions prior to this one have been great. Mike at their BMW store is fantastic.
Anyone have any Idea why the owner felt compelled to drive away a good customer for a small amount of money like this? I am really having a hard time understanding this. The owner will not pick up calls or return calls so I am out of luck with trying to make this right.
Live and learn... there are prolly a few more bikes in my future and you can bet Chicagp HD weill not be on my shopping list.
