Hello. I have happened upon a project. My father and I have aquired an 07 CVO electra glide, candy cherry in color, that was an insurance write off. No apparent mechanical/drivetrain damage, it appears to be all cosmetic. We will need a front fairing, tank, bags, and trunk, and possibly a fork.
Wondering if anyone has suggestions regarding used parts and wreckers?
Wondering what model years would have interchangeable parts with this model?
Wondering if there will be problems interchangeing items of different years, specifically the fairing?
And any other items of importance you may have to offer?
I live in Canada but I am sure I will have more luck with parts in the US.
Thanks in advance.
Start shopping eBay for parts. I bought mine the same way and saved a ton of money over buying new. Any good painter should be able to match or just repaint the entire bike like I did. Not only that but it is educational and fun to do your own work. Have fun and enjoy the results. Hers a pic of my rebuilt bagger.
Appreciate the input, I imagined that ebay may be the answer. Is there any wreckers/restoration shops out there that specialize in these types of bikes?

Whatever you do make sure to check your local laws reguarding salvage titles/repairables.Dont know how it works in Canada but many states in the U.S. have specific guidelines and require reciepts for parts listed on the origional estimate totaling the vehicle.Without those reciepts you cant reinspect the vehicle to clear the title.
Thanks a bunch. I will try those suggestions, I am sure I will be able to dig something up. Also, thanks for the tip regarding inspection and local rules/regs, I will be looking into that as well.
