I cant believe there is talk about the 2011's already. I can't imagine what kind of rumors there will be this year that someone's brother's friend heard.

I agree. how about we just enjoy the scoots that are currently in our collective garages? I happen to really like my '09 FLHX...

........ what ? Someone's brother's friend heard something ? What ?, tell us dammit, i wanna know !
..... unless, of course, it's just that crap about SG's needing anti-freeze, we've already heard about that.
That Ultra limited is a great idea. It's about all one would normally upgrade on their bike, accessory and engine wise without going the SE route and paying the SE price. Yeah it costs more than a standard ultra, but after the accessories? Not really. They got rid of the FLHT though, which was stupid. The 09 Flat Black was the best looking touring bike in the lineup IMO. Some people want the batwing w/out the pack and aren't a fan of or wanna spend the $ on the SG.
I'd like to see a sport tour offering. You see a lot of rider making mods to suspension, true track links, various power adders to bring sport to tour. I wonder if the MOCO is taking notice?
Considering the state of all things economic in this country right now, I'd say they did pretty good coming out with anything new. Who's with me here? I actually thought there was a real possibility that 2010 would be EXACTLY like 2009 with just a few new colors.
I agree. There always someone trying to start something. Must be an off season thing.
"Be careful what you wish for?" My overall concern regarding the 2011, 2012, 2013 models etc. is overall quality. If my understanding of HD's downsizing plans/future strategy is accurate my concern regarding overall design/quality is several notches higher than it was a couple of years ago. Very few companies have successfully outsourced main components of the manufacturing process and increase or maintained quality levels at the same time.
I'll take good solid quality over new designs any day.
I think the MoCo did very well with the 2010's. I would think that lots of new models every year could kill quality and would kill the value of used HD's. I for one would be upset if used values plummet any more than they already have. As a matter of fact, it wouldn't bother me if the days of having to wait 6 months for a new bike returned.
I have owned a 2004 lowrider, 2007 fatboy and now a 2010 roadking. In 2011 Harley is going to introduce and liquid cool softail and may even offer a v4 touring. They will not be going bigger in CI size cause of epa. You may say how do I know this. Just wait and see.
Believe it, it will happen.
